Act Too Includes is a space for children of all abilities to discover and develop their full creative potential through the performing arts. We aim to provide a shared arts experience that encourages self-expression, social engagement, creative exploration, and above all, fun!

Our first series of classes for Ages 5 to 7, will center on Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Each class will build Confidence through movement, self-expression, and communication. We will use our Creativity as we focus on music to calm, inspire, and improve social skills. We will communicate as we use gestures and express our emotions.
In each class, we will use our voices and bodies to tell the story using sounds, gestures, and movements to channel our feelings and meaning. We will have a variety of activities during each session where we will learn and most importantly- have FUN in an accepting, safe space!
This class will involve age-appropriate individual and collaborative applied drama techniques such as theatre games, improvisation, role play, and voice and body work.

Join our warm, inclusive group of actors, singers and dancers with special needs. You’ll be surrounded by friends and caring, professional teachers and student aides who will help focus on your abilities and help them grow.

Classwork culminates in a final sharing for families on the last day of class.

Parents are encouraged to provide complete information on registration forms for Act Too Includes classes; this will allow our team to create the best accommodations and support strategies for each student and their family. All information will remain confidential to assure your student's privacy.

Diane Kincade is a mom of three boys and one girl. Her youngest has a dyslexia diagnosis. She’s been in the world of education her entire life, from teaching third graders at Edmondson Elementary, working with teenagers at the Brentwood Library, and teaching preschool, to now working at MTSU as a developmental therapist working with families with children with delays and disabilities.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from MTSU. Her goal is to always provide the best care and individualized support, in addition to providing meaningful resources and help where every child experiences success. She thrives on building positive relationships centered on love where every student is a valued partner in the learning process. She is excited to join this wonderful team!
Becca Bilbo Dorris is a mother to three on the autism spectrum and other challenges- including her own ADHD. In addition to being their caregiver, she has extensive experience with child development, education, and musical theatre- from performing, and stage management, to set and costume creation.
She has her bachelor's in communication from Lipscomb University. She moved to Nashville in 2004 and has been in and around the city ever since. She loves to create and write. She recently released her first romance novel, Disgruntled Joy.
She desires to help create safe and beautiful spaces wherever she goes. Whether it be through the joy of sharing her art or consulting on creative projects to encouraging others to create for creation's sake, educating others about the importance of inclusivity and acceptance of neurodivergence and other disabilities. She is thrilled to be a part of Act Too!
