ABOUT ACT TOO SELECT

Act Too Select was largely created as a way to provide additional opportunities for our students who are more advanced in their abilities. It is our hope that by offering shows that have a smaller cast size that we will be able to provide a more focused time with character, actor, and vocal development.

We will also be bringing in area professionals to aid in the execution and instruction of this class. This class is structured to provide a more intense learning experience that will hopefully provide students a extra edge when it comes to Governor's School auditions, college placements, or high school productions. It is our goal to actively challenge and nurture these actors and hone their abilities to be competitive in this field.

This class is still subject to our monthly tuition rate.

Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn't everything.

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
